Convocation Visit: A Reviving Experience

The award for 'the most relaxing experience of the month' goes to 'Convocation 2011' of the Banaras Hindu University............ Convocation invitation came this month and took us far from the hectic daily schedule of our professional life. Having been invited from BHU to attend convocation 2011, we started to arrange for it.........that included taking leave from our offices and getting seats reserved in a train to Varanasi. Everything was on the boat.....and we were on the way to one of the ancient cities..........

How could we allow ourselves to slip one single moment of enjoyment??? So, celebrations started in the train itself.......and remained continued even after reaching Varanasi. Now, all of us were again together......to share the memorable moments of those days when we were pursuing the master's degree in mass communication........and we were ready to create some more lovely moments........ But some of our batch-mates were missing from the grand celebration.........they missed it........we missed them...........

Amid all the celebrations and enjoyments, the day of convocation came..........we were wearing convocation gown..........how great the moment was!!! Really.....we were in the convocation gown......... We were clicked while receiving degree from the Dean of the Arts Faculty.........while standing or sitting......single or in group........while throwing convocation cap in the air...........wow....again and again.....with different angles...........how great the moment was..........

The next day, again some of us were on the venue in time.......and I was one of them......to hear honorable Vice President of India Hamid Ansari, chief guest of the BHU convocation 2011....... Again, I was a part of a great moment..... But every beginning comes with a certain end.......convocation ceremony ends...... And every end goes with a definite beginning.......celebration continues......

This was the time when some of us had to move to their hometown or back at work in the next three days. I had prepared to stay in my hometown Varanasi for some more days. I had taken leave only for three days and got approval for work from home for some more days as I wanted to stay at home till the festival Holi.

Meanwhile, once again I went to the mass communication department of BHU, and met teachers.......some seniors........and many juniors of mine. My juniors warmly welcomed me and pulled me into their Holi celebration. That was another lovely moment of this great holiday package. Another mentionable thing is to be at home, that always gives a proper relaxation from the tiresome life of outside world........

Just on the next day of Holi, I moved back to my workplace New Delhi. I was in the train to the national capital......remembering all the joy we had in the last journey, when we were together.......remembering all the leisure I got when I was at home.....remembering all the memorable moments I participated in while convocation visit. Reaching Delhi....I came across....again the same hectic life, work pressure and all that......but if their was something new.....or seemed to be new.......was the energy I had regained during the convocation visit..........
